This picture should really tickle your funny bone. Our photographer Bill Mortley spent some time with this one getting different angles of goats at play in this truly St Lucian scene. To all you New Yorkers and big city Lucians abroad doesn't this remind you of home?

its sad that there isnt any place for people like these two gentlemen to go and watch the telvision and have a meal to eat. a charity should b inplace after all they are humans like the rest of us which would want to know about things as well. am sure they would have opinions about things as well

    • Problem child says:

Come on man know about your community…there are homes for them. It may look sad BUT…INFACT…. the two guys along with most of the street persons about Castries know there to go amongst the four safe homes and their own homes. They go to get their meals and a “change of clothes” at the homes but leave to be on the streets.

There’s a saying “the best things in life are free”. I had a good laugh when i saw this one!!

  3. Botox says:

A bench on the sidewalk would be a wonderful gesture. Poverty does not devalue the human. They were born two boys to some mother. I feel for their days of idle walk and hunger, no love from the society which adores only prosperity.

  4. Cathy says:

Born free, live free stay free!

  5. Joseph Dosserie says:

Trust me they are even more relaxed and free than we who are in our beds and couches doing same.

  6. Well i agree Joseph, the look really cool, they do not have to watch out that their tele`s are not walking out while watching at home !

  9. Looshan says:

NO STRESS, NO BILLS, NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUY. LEAVE UR LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. Botox says:

I think I will move to the sidewalk soon, sounds wonderful. My head cooled by the damp pavement and a breeze carries an aroma of Rovers last dogie biscuit. Now I have a taste for KFC.

  11. FP says:

Don’t you worry, life is good in St.Lucia.

    Stop taking everything so seriously.

  12. john says:

this symbolize the hurt the poverty and the idleness we face in the world an ure takin it as a joke ?
yall should b ashamed its happenein inour wown community so farless if u got to actually c those ppl in other countries namely africa and haiti. then most of ur responses would b the typical st lucian thing….. how is me uh. this picture represents ppl like u and i that have nothin to their name and will have nothing unless something is done to rresolve it. it not a must that we should its a moral factor that we ought to. if its soo good to u ppl i suggest u spend a few nights with on the streety with them to c how it feels.

    • Botox says:

That is right, poverty is a painful existence, no health care, bad teeth, no real person to love because nobody wants to be with the poor…poverty means you have very few choices, you are hungry, shoeless and most alone and sad.

  13. Go Tay-tay says:

Guys, no need to take this picture seriously. These fellas are just ‘chilling’ like we say in Lucia.

Trust me, they’re not hungry and homeless like some of you suggest.

  14. Joseph Dosserie says:

Not only that; they may just be watching the channel which contains less of the negative vices which we lament so often.

  15. tolo says:

This is the pace of life that conteracts stress. but in our materialistic society/world we see a huge problem with that. it is a shame that in many countries the state of unrest makes a scene like this impossible. We should all strive to return St Lucia to that state of tranquility that allows that to happen, I dare anyone to call them laid back.
